Reading Room has created 14 sophisticated e-commerce and informational Internet resources in as many different languages for leading language training company Kaplan Aspect. The multiple language sites, including Arabic, Japanese, Chinese and every major European tongue, were rolled out in just 14 weeks. A corporate “world map portal” that allows visitors to select their native country and access information in just one click. The new sites increase traffic and online revenue, decrease Kaplan Aspect’s administration time and costs, and improve user experience.
This complex multilingual/multinational resource was achieved using SDL Tridion for the Content Management System (CMS). Its robustness, flexibility and ability to easily create and modify pages allow localization of content without code or template re-writes. The CMS also integrated seamlessly with Kaplan Aspect’s legacy booking, CRM and admin systems.
A dedicated Agents’ Portal is planned in the next few months, allowing the various international representatives to access coherent and consistent branded information and a Student’s Portal will further extend the scope of the sites by creating a truly global online community.
Margaret Manning, Reading Room CEO: “This has been an impressive project in its scale and scope. We’ve created a global online presence using quality design and intuitive functionality. We’ve achieved consistent online branding and future-proofed our client’s needs by implanting the ability to create further sites and sub sites with minimal cost and effort.”
Terry Hall, Sales Director, UK & Ireland at SDL Tridion: “The nature of Kaplan Aspect’s business means it is vitally important that its sites are tailored to a specific audience, while still presenting a consistent look and feel. We are excited to have been instrumental in helping Kaplan Aspect achieve this flexibility for each individual Web site and are confident its customers will enjoy the seamless online experience.”
